Term 2

Welcome to Monzblog.This is about my my school term. We have been going to special I.C.T rooms to learn about how to make blogs with Mrs Armitage. We are having great fun. We have it every Friday. Hope you like our blogs!

Room 20 were making our self portraits. We cut out huge stars and cut out our background of our portraits and put our portraits in the stars. We coloured our portraits and stars in with crayons. Then later we made our initials for our first name, surname how old we are and how many people their are in our families. We coloured it in with pastels. After a while our topic was about animals. Later rooms 20, 19 and 17 went to a trip to the zoo. We saw heaps of fascinating animals. We had some parent helpers and teachers to help aswell. We learnt heaps about animals and their habitat. Then we went back to school at 2:30. We wrote a story about koalas and about pigeons We have been starting a new thing called Duffy Kids and we each got two FREE duffy books and we get a certificate and a special book every week. A few weeks later school was finished for term one. Two weeks later school started again for term two.

Then our next topic was about pollution and how to stop it. We saw a movie about how oil and water don't mix. Did you know that if you put water in a glass cup and oil on top and mix it, the oil will still be on top. If you put your finger through the oil and water and then only the oil will remain on your finger.We have been putting some things in our files of work and took them home. We also have been talking about Anzac day and saw in a book how to make Anzac biscuits. One girl from our class named Violet made Anzac biscuits for the class. At school my teacher has been away so for the time being we have the lovely Ms Dyson. She has been reading us Greek Myths and they are very interesting. With Ms Dyson we have making Greek Newspapers, mine is called "The Greek News Blitz". We have been putting puzzles in them because we now know the Greek numbers.After about a few months when I was talking about the FREE Duffy books, well I actually won 2 of the free books, how cool is that!!!
