Nature's recycling

At Botanic Gardens we had a special teacher called Suzie to help us learn about nature. We learnt that when a mushroom dies out, it goes deep down to the soil and makes a normal tree. We learnt that there is a life cycle about leaves as well. It goes like this, first the leaves are green then yellow and then lastly it dies out. The worms eat the dead leaves and also help the soil while it is eating. While we were still in the bushes Suzie held out a big life cycle map which had trees, birds, worms and dead leaves. We had to find out what all of it was about. It was about how the birds, worms and caterpillars produce the good soil.
